SAINT

Saint

Here is an interesting tidbit.
The word 'saint' is used in the NT 91 times to refer to Christians, but it is used this way only in the plural; the word 'saint' is never used of an individual believer, only of believers as a group. To speak of Saint Matthew, or Saint John, is unbiblical.
The word 'saints' is the translation of the adjective hagios when it stands alone, 'holy [ones].'
