LIFE ON OTHER PLANETS?

Life on Other Planets?

Millions of kids and adults are obsessed with this question. So also with our government and all the major universities and the scientific establishment. Desperately trying to connect with supposed intelligent beings out there. Therefore the scientific film market has exploded. They go so far as to attribute the pyramids of Egypt to these supposed creatures. ET and Star trek, Star wars, Return of the Jedi, etc. Hollywood knows how to get people's attention with areas they are fascinated with ideas that subconsciously change their worldview. These are very fascinating and very entertaining but they are just science fiction which poses no harm but children are fascinated with these issues. Children are gobbling up the Harry Potter series books which gently and subtlety locks you into the occult and demonism. Satan doesn't always come across as a roaring lion but as an angel of light. He can look fascinating and attractive. People have revealed they are interested in BIO ASTRONOMY. Life out there somewhere. Don't you think the God of the Bible would have something to say about these issues? To show us what's going on out there? Yes he does. Life on another planet based on valid Bible inferences. There is not one single verse that says there is no physical life on other planets in the Bible. But many teachings of the Bible are arrived at by comparing passage of Scripture by saying what they infer and what they imply and we will see what happens in these verses.

Psalm 115:1  Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
Here is the problem some gentile visitors came to Israel from time to time as merchants and visitors and diplomats but were shocked that they didn't find any idols that were worshiped. Every other nation had huge stones and bottles everywhere but not here. The question arose where is your God? And their answer was magnificent.
Psa. 115:3  "But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased."
The Gentiles thought Oh you don't have any. They respond ours does whatever he wishes. He is omnipotent, omniscient, He is the sovereign of the universe. He is not just a figment of the imagination we worship the living God. We don't worship idols we worship the living God. He is invisible to Earth dwellers. And look what these Israelites say to these Gentiles in verse four. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. Your idols are man-made and can help no one. These idols are totally worthless. And verse eight says you'll become gradually, imperceptibly just like those worthless idols. Just like the thing or the person you worship. That is God's provision for human choice as image and likeness bearers. We can make choices of whom we worship. But what does this have to do with life on other plants?
Psalm 115:16 "The heaven, [even] the heavens, [are] the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the sons of men.” There are only two realms of reality where you have to learn to relate to somebody. One of them is heaven and that's where God resides. You have to know Him. By the way the inference is there is no one else out there. He is the only one out there and you have to know Him but on the Earth there are sons of men and you have to learn how to relate to people. That's how Jesus summarizes the whole law of the Old Testament. God in heaven and man on earth and there is no one else that we have to relate to but God and men.

Now turn to Isaiah 45 for some more valid inferences. Let's begin with verse five. “I am the LORD, and there is no other, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me.” God says I've been up here a long time and I know a lot about everything up here and I can't seem to find anyone else up here as far as god and now look at verse six “That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.” If he is the only God up there then how do you explain all the bad things happening here? Terrorism and diseases to name a few hurricanes and floods about tall buildings collapsing on 9/11 wars and crime and cruelty. People seem to says there needs to be two God's. A God who does good things and we want to worship in a God who does bad things. That is called dualism. Many ancient hierarchies believed that way. But God explains what's going on in verse seven. “The One Who forms the light, and creates darkness: I make peace, and create evil (calamity-wrath): I the LORD do all these things.” There he says it the God Who does all the good things also does all the bad things. Total control, sovereign. Nothing escapes his control. No rival, no competitor, Satan doesn't even count. Satan is so infinitesimal. Job chapter 1 reveals him as a finite puppet of God pulled by strings from the third heaven. God told them you can do this but you can't do that. You are totally under my control sir. Job didn't even know about Satan. Job said the Lord has given and the Lord has taken away. Joe had it right. So who brings the hurricanes or tornadoes? The earthquakes and Valdez oil spill? You say Satan did that. You might say Satan has a lot power these days but I say God knows what he's doing and He makes no mistakes. He creates calamity. That is hard to believe. God says trust me I'm in charge of the world. Joseph said that to his brothers you meant for evil but God meant it for good. Joseph had it right also. Something really good happened from that tragedy in Joseph’s life. God says I'm in charge of the daytime and nighttime and the nice things and what appear to be the bad things. And one time the apostles came up to Jesus in terror and asked if He did not hear that a wall fell on 18 men and killed them. He said you think those men are any worse than other people and he said if you don't repent you will likewise perish. We had two great towers in Manhattan fall 911 God's emergency call to get our attention. Men think that God would have nothing to do with such a terrible thing. Bin Laden did it Satan did it. Nope are you ready God did it. That is a dangerous statement when you're talking nonbelievers but God says he has puppets to bring men to repentance. They will immediately blasphemy God for that statement. But God says nothing happens in this world that I am not in charge of.
But what does this have to do with life on other planets? Turn the verse 18.
Isa. 45:18 “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not a waste or empty place, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”
He did not create the Earth to be empty but he created it to be inhabited. And that is why no other planet is inhabited. You have to have two things to have an inhabited planet. Just two, number one it has to be inhabitable. That eliminates all the other ones. We have been to Mars we we have been to Venus where it is 800° carbon dioxide and hotter than lead, don’t go. You can't live on Jupiter Saturn Mars Uranus don't even try. They are totally uninhabitable. To be inhabited has to have an environment that sustains life. All other planets have extreme environments with temperatures that could never support human life. God created the earth to be inhabited. Number two you have to have inhabitants to live on the inhabitable planet. And that's another stupendous miracle of God. He created the earth to be inhabited. He put people here he put animals here he put plants here. Even the men who have been on the moon lived in earth bubbles that they took with them. Space suits that they would've stepped on other they would've been instantly dealt with in a tragic way. There was no air they would've suffocated. They would've burnt to a crisp in the daytime and froze to death at night and that was the moon's way of saying go home to earth and they did. The Earth looked fascinating and attractive to those astronauts out there. They couldn't wait to get home. This is home to people right here and that's the way God made it.
That leads to two hard questions. Are you saying there is no other life out there? Although there are saints and angels out there, there is no physical life out there. Organic physical life no.
Are you suggesting we’re totally alone in the universe as far as physical beings? Yes according to God. Although narrow-minded pre-scientific, provincial, primitive thinking, medieval. This is an object of ridicule today by the evolutionary establishment that if life evolved here by chance then surely we would've evolved somewhere else by chance. But God says nothing evolved here either. These verses say it was created by God he has the right to say whether he will create anywhere else and tell us if he did. He wrote this book to tell us about what he did create and why He created it. He created trillions of stars other planets out there just for us to look at. That's what he said in the first chapter of Genesis. They were created to be signs of his wisdom power and glory. He did these trillions of creation in just a couple of verses and that is power. No work. God was not so worn out that he had to recuperate. Isaiah 40 says he is not weary He is omnipotent. All powerful never gets tired. He did this all for us. The Bible says that the mind of man is not lower than the supposed super brains of outer space that we are conjuring up and imagining and contradistinction to everything that God has left us in the only book He ever wrote. These verses in psalms and Isaiah are inferences. The Bible tells us from Genesis to Revelation says this planet is exclusive in the universe for God's special attention. He put his image and likeness on this planet in 2000 years ago he came here. Not to Jupiter Mars but here to become a permanent resident of the human race by incarnation through virgin birth. And it says he's coming back a second time. He told us to pray that his kingdom might come to Earth not Mercury or Pluto. Why? Because there is no one else out there. This is it. The Creator is a permanent member of the human race.
Is there life out there. Yes! But it is spirit and is labeled in Eph. 3:10 "principalities and powers." These are spirit creatures that will be our ministry in the age to come making known the manifold wisdom of God their Creator. Human, no, but spirit, yes. We have an ongoing ministry with them in the ages to come according to Paul, Christ's messenger!!!
