HOW DOES A HEART GET HARD

How Does A Heart Get Hard

God hardened the heart of Pharaoh. We learn that this was judicial in Romans 9 for Pharaoh already had an attitude towards God which God hardened. God finally gratifies a man in his choices, in his decisions; certainly not that He produces those decisions in man. Paul presented the argument of how this man could be judged if God instituted this. Paul's explanation brings insight into this hardening.
Follows with unbelief. Unbelief is the refusal to obey the truth of which I am intellectually convinced. To know the truth and to then refuse to obey it; to hear the message and give approval to its accuracy, bow in the presence of its great demand intellectually, and yet not answer its claim is a sin [James 2:26; Heb. 3:13] which hardens the man.
