Rod of Iron
Psa. 2:9; Rev. 2:27; 12:5; 19:15
He makes a display in Acts 5:5 and 12:23 of this rule where angels bring the judgment. In God's kingdom, sinlessness is required to exact a penalty - "He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone."
That is why we shall rule and reign with Him. We will be without sin and therefore able to exact judgment. We replace the angels in the Kingdom as Hebrews teaches us. We will judge them at that point in time. Hard to believe at this point.
Acts 5:5 “And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.”
Acts 12:23 “And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.”
Both were instantaneous judgments. No judge, no jury, no court of appeals, no defense lawyers or any of the foolishness of our legal system.
Psa. 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Rev. 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Rev. 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
Rev. 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
No need to guess what He meant by those verses for He showed us in Acts what He means.
