SIMPLE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE WORLD

 

1. Was there ever a time when the world did not exist?
"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God"-Psa. 90:2.

2. When and how did the world begin? "In the beginning GOD CREATED the heaven and the earth"-Gen. 1:1.

3. How did God create the world? "By the WORD of the Lord were the heavens made . .. For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast"—Psa. 33:6,9.

4. What part did our Lord Jesus Christ have in creating the world?
"All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made"—John 1:3.

5. What part did the Holy Spirit have in the creation of the world? "By His Spirit He hath garnished (beautified) the heavens"—Job. 26:13.

6. What does the Bible teach about the creation of the animal and plant life?
"And God made the beast of the earth AFTER HIS KIND, and cattle AFTER THEIR KIND, and everything that creepeth upon the earth AFTER HIS KIND; and God saw that it was good"—Gen. 1:25.

7. What does the Bible teach about the creation of man?
"So God created man IN HIS OWN IMAGE; in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them"—Gen. 1:27.

9. Why did God create the world? "Thou art worthy, 0 Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou hast created all things, and FOR THY PLEASURE they are and were created"—Rev. 4:11.

10. Was there any sin or imperfection in the world as God created it? "And God saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was VERY GOOD"—Gen. 1:31.

11. How did sin, imperfection and death enter the world?
"BY ONE MAN sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned"—Rom. 5:12.

13. What are we taught to look for after the destruction of this present evil world?
