Analusis <an-al'-oo-sis>
A nautical word and it suggests a ship which has been moored to the shore, the ropes flung off, the anchor lifted, and the ship moving out of the harbor, but as a going out from harbor to a great wide sea. On the sea it can fulfill the possibility of its own being, and prove itself worthy by fulfilling the purpose for which it was constructed. Death is not the end but the beginning, when a Christian passes through the shadow of death he takes his way into the land of perfect light and perfect realization. A ship was made for the sea, not the port. To depart is to be with the Pilot, with our most blessed Lord.
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. (Paul’s analusis)
Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath
showed me. (Peter’s analusis)
Christ discussed His analusis-exodus with Moses and Elijah on the Mt. of Transfiguration
