EARS TO HEAR
PEOPLE MAKE THEIR OWN HELL FOR THEMSELVES.
JUDAS WENT TO HIS OWN PLACE (SOLITARY CONFINEMENT)
. NO PARTY. SORRY.
Acts 1:25 "........ from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place."
"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now." JOHN 16:12.
These words were spoken to men who had been with Him for 3 years. Like Isaiah He said things which sounded like they were from "strange lips" and "another tongue." He was constantly giving them truth line upon line, precept upon precept; here a little, there a little. He was patient with them. But because of their blindness and sin, He ran out of time and left them with these words, He had more to say. They were still on milk, no meat. Until a man lets the spirit reign instead of the flesh, His book makes little or no sense. The very 1st principle of THE faith is Christ died for men, was buried, and was resurrected the 3rd day from the grave. That is the foundational truth of THE faith. He paid the price for someone else for He sinned not. Was that someone else you?
I can go no further until that question is answered and the expected answer is yes, He died for me because I.........? God is not dumb. He knows all sin is committed against His Son. All adultery for example is committed against Christ for true love (Jesus) would not commit that sin. That partner in that act is a person made in the image and likeness of God and is a spirit being because of that creation. Death to that spirit happens because of that sin and eventually the body follows in that death. Separated from God in spirit and eventually body. That is not the intended end for that person as far as Christ is concerned. He died so that one might live forever eternally with love properly defined, not cheapened by a fleshly desire. Living a life of death while on earth instead of a life of fullness because the spirit takes the leadership and is fed by His Spirit. The Bible tells of many more sins of which the conscience is well aware of. Conviction begins at the outset of all.
And until that person recognizes the need for a Saviour, having been made aware of their sin, these words are utter foolishness to them. They cannot bear the words when they hear that Christ died for them. They have to accept those words first and realize their desperate condition. Eternity in your own place is not the intended end according to the Bible. They need to get in the boat as Noah pleaded. Until they do that, all other instruction is foolishness until finally the rains came. Men today (science) even deny the evidence all around them, pumping fossil fuels into their autos from that flood denying that it happened. All because they didn't buy into the foundational fact of the Bible. Christ died for them. They need forgiveness from the One the sin was directed against whether they understand that truth or not. When He forgives all earnest prayers of that nature, understanding finally comes. If they refuse that foundational fact, they enter into death alone and an eternal life in darkness alone, no party, and the cravings they attained to in this life have an eternal problem. They have no body to perform those desires that they fully developed. They make their own hell. Adultery cravings are hard to fulfill without a partner nor a body. Take the cure all statement of modern science which is after a million years in darkness and unfulfilled cravings, how big of a hell have you made for yourself?
Please get in the boat. Recognize your need of a loving Man Who died in your place so that you can live in a lovely garden, not a dark hole. Ask Him for that forgiveness that heals the wounds of your life and start afresh!
Jesus, I need YOUR forgiveness. I have sinned against You and You alone.
NOTE: God is the King of hell, just as He is the King of everything else in time and space. He is the Lord of hosts, both good and bad. And because this is so, that everlasting prison-house of the lost will not be the noisy and disorderly place that is sometimes imagined by the popular mind. There is no more orderly place than a well-disciplined prison, even under imperfect human government. There will be no riots in hell. For all those who reject the mercy of God in Christ and recognize no final argument but force, there will be force without stint or limit, the force of a divine government from which there can be no escape, either now or hereafter.
