Vine
John 15:1, 5 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing."
What did He say in these verses? "I am"-not the main stem-"I am the vine." I am the root, main stem, branches, leaves, tendrils, fruit, everything. That is the vine. "I am the vine." The whole of it and what did He mean by saying that? "Ye are the branches"-part of the vine-and the life of the vine passes through the branches and reproduces itself in fruit and this while giving life to the branch itself; made one by a solemn union and purpose. I am His; He is mine and His life sustains me.
