“The” Carpenter
For 18 years Christ toiled in His boyhood home in the carpentry trade. So well did He work that trade that He was known as "the carpenter." Mark 6:3 ""Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?" And they took offense at Him. "
So pleased was the Father with those 18 years that He verbally made it known in Matthew 3:17. "And behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is [Or My Son, the Beloved] My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”
