631 Saved
The pathway to the gate is narrow and few there are that find it. In numbers the true church will never be impressive Matt. 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.".
When the end comes, it will be found in much the same state that it was in the days of Noah in the beginning [demon possession]. [Matt. 13:24-30, 24:37-39].
The OT prophet [Isaiah 53:1] knew no one would be convinced by the things of power seen, "Who hath believed our report," that is "our message," "the word we had to say." "And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?" The arm is always the symbol of strength. Said Isaiah "Who has believed our message?" "Who has been convinced by the things of power seen?" Jesus total public ministry only saw 631 people converted. These numbers can be substantiated in the gospel accounts.
There is only one sign which brings men to believe, that is the powerful sign of the Cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Powerful proof that the price was paid [Matt. 12:38-40]. "Give us a sign." This brings a complete revelation of the love of God in Christ.
Christ's doctrinal stance was so pure that the ultra-religious, even after having done all the tithes, offerings, sacrifices, washings, with all their views and added ideas on how the Kingdom of God would be run wanted the sent One put on a cross, to be put to death so as to silence Him. Satan's desire is recorded in Psa. 41:5, 8 “My enemies speak evil against me, "When will he die, and his name perish?" "A wicked thing is poured out upon him, That when he lies down, he will not rise up again." [No resurrection.] Their vote on His purity of doctrine was decisively "we will not have this Man rule over us." I am afraid His narrow views would be not very well received by today's churches. "He is too strict in His doctrinal stance and we don't agree with Him. We believe differently."
The thousand’s many think were saved were only in it for the food He provided.
