THE DOCTRINE OF THE SON OF GOD

THE DOCTRINE OF THE SON OF GOD

INTRODUCTION: As this Nation and others further separates their constituents from the Bible and the true Doctrine of God, it is becoming apparent that man’s thoughts of such a One Who came from heaven to die for their sins and rid them of those which they display daily and are impotent to deal with and rid themselves, leaves them only the course where they deny His existence and harden their heart over the conviction of what is God’s definition of right and wrong in His Book that to them is politically incorrect. The Bible is fiction with many while at the same time the source of hope for others that see demise unfolding before their very eyes - multiple decaying countries; but a coming Kingdom promised under the Leadership of the Son of God. Even in the Church there is wrong that has been determined to be right and which the Son taught was wrong. The Son of God has a mess to clean up on this earth which starts with 7 years of tribulation, moving into a thousand year reign, and then an eternal state. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.

Having found that God is three as to His personality--Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit—this article considers these Persons in the Godhead.

Logically it might be supposed that we should begin with the Father, but we shall consider only the Son with this set of articles. This does not mean that we ignore the Father. All one might study under the general doctrine of God may be regarded as the doctrine of the Father.

The reason for devoting special attention to the Son is because of His special work in revealing the Father. The Father is revealed through the historical manifestation of the Son, and this revelation of the Father through the Son is made clear and effective by the Holy Spirit.

Also the major and most important difference between a Muslim, a Mormon, a Baptist, a Grace Brethren and even an unbeliever is what they believe to be true or untrue concerning Jesus Christ the Son of God. That also determines the actual salvation and eternal destiny of the person. The Bible is the only Book that God wrote and shall be the sole authority and source of proof concerning the facts it declares concerning the Son of God.

As we begin with the doctrine of the Son, we enter a field of material so vast that a preliminary survey will be found helpful. It includes at least the following subjects:

His Deity - "And the Word was God" - John 1:1
