THE SMOKING INCENSE & SAINT'S PRAYERS

The Smoking Incense and the Saints' Prayers  8:3-4
"And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne." "And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand."

The Angel Priest Officiating at the Altar
"And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne."

There are those who think that this must be Christ. But this is not necessary. Seiss and Scott both think it is Christ.

The Altar is in the Court of Tabernacle
It is the altar of burnt offering. From this altar the golden censer was used to carry the fire to the golden altar of incense.

The Action of the Angel Who is Officiating
"And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand."

He receives incense and with it the prayers of the saints are offered up. Incense is the symbol as well as the accompaniment of prayers (Rev. 5:8). This is at the golden altar.

The Ascent of the Incense and Prayers
"And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand."

Both the incense and the prayers ascend up before God. This is proof that the prayers of the saints no matter how long delayed in answering are yet to be answered. In some way every prayer will have its final fulfillment in judgment and the passing of this present order and the coming of the permanent.
