THE PURPOSE OF CREATION
“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for
Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Rev. 4:11
Why did He create this mess and put up with all this
ignorant rebellion?
Worshiping the Creator and the Sustainer. The all consuming
purpose of God in creation was to establish a Kingdom in the earth in which He
could display His Glory in the Person of His Son. This display was to be made
to creatures made in His image and therefore capable of apprehending,
appreciating and applauding that display. Here creation has arrived at its
purpose. To see Him as He is remains the longing of all that know Him as
Savior. To have been redeemed and sanctified to perfection and therefore able
to apprehend, appreciate and applaud His amazing perfect plan and its
execution. To fall at His feet and throw crowns to Him is the revelation here given
to us in John’s book of revealing.
God is everything. He exists by Himself and all creation
comes out of Him. "For by Him were
all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and
invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by Him, and for Him" (Col. 1:16). Here is the "for" Him.
