LIMITED PRIESTHOOD
“For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of
his Son that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.” Rom. 1:9
For the priesthood of the members of the body of Christ even
today, as also in the coming Kingdom, is only an activity of limited priestly
service, such as is appropriate to saved sinners. We do not mediate between men
and God, as some claim to be able to accomplish. Hence, there can be no
possible objection to its continuance in the Kingdom, for then the priestly
service will be rendered by perfected saints, no longer marred by sinful
inclinations and infirmity.
