THE DOOM OF THE ANTICHRIST

THE DOOM OF THE ANTICHRIST

  • The Judgment of God on His Kingdom
1. His kingdom and subjects are consumed judgment.
Dan. 7:25-26 "Consumed" - general statement  "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end."
Rev. 16:1-10 "5th angel poured his vial upon the throne of the beast." "Kingdom was full of darkness" - morally, spiritually.
2. His city and commercial world-system are destroyed in one hour.
Rev. 18:1-ff 10, 17 "in one hour"
cf. Dan. 11:44-45a A.R.V.  "But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him."
cf. Zech. 12:1- ff "a cup of trembling" (vs. 2); "Burdensome stone for all people" (vs. 3); "He that is feeble--as David." (vs. 8)
  • Judgment of Christ on Antichrist Personally
1. Antichrist stands up against the Prince of princes
Dan. 8:25 "Shall stand up against the Prince of princes."
Rev. 17:14a "These shall make war with the Lamb."
Rev. 19:19 "beast . . . to make war against Him that sat on the horse."
2. He is broken without hands.
Cf. Rev. 17:14 "the Lamb shall overcome them."
Dan. 8:25b Christ himself will break him. "Broken without hand." - By Christ's word.
Cf. Rev. 19:15 "And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."
2 Thess. 2:8 "Lord shall consume with the Spirit of his mouth." "Out of his mouth . . . a sharp sword."
"And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:"
3. He comes to his end, and none can help him.
Dan. 11:45b Although he assembles the greatest army ever seen, he cannot stand against Christ. "And none shall help him."
4. He is taken ALIVE and cast into lake of fire.
Rev. 19:20 "These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone."
5. He is brought down to (lowest) Sheol; his body has no grave. This is a second exception to the rule.
Isa. 14:9-10, 15-20 "Hell from beneath . . . brought down to Sheol." "Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial" (vs. 20)
6. At end of Millennial Kingdom, he is still in conscious torment which goes on forever.
Rev. 20:10 This proves that "destroy" does not mean annihilation, because the beast comes back later.
"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
