There
are at least Five Things that Constitute a Minimum Standard of Measure for a
Church Ordinance
(1) The special time for the institution of the form.
(2) The sovereign authorization of the form as an ordinance.
(3) The symbolical meaning of the new form being instituted.
(4) The spiritual reality thus being symbolized must be great.
(5) The specific or clear command for the perpetuation of the form.
