The *body is a part of the person.
Luke 16:22 "And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried."

The Christian's Body belongs to God now
I Co 1 Cor. 6:13-20
"but For the Lord...your bodies are the members of Christ."
Rom.
12:1 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

Its complete redemption is certain.
Rom.
8:23 "to wit, the redemption of our bodies."
The spirit is quickened. Eph. 2:5 "Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved."
The mind is renewed. Rom. 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
And at last the body is raised and perfected. Rom. 8:23 "And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body."
