THE PERSON OF CHRIST IS AN INDIVISIBLE UNITY

THE PERSON OF CHRIST IS AN INDIVISIBLE UNITY

Our Lord Always Speaks of Himself as One Personality
Distinguishes Himself from other men John 8:23 "And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world."
Distinguishes Himself from the Father John 8:18 "I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me."
Distinguishes Himself from the Holy Spirit John 16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you."

But Never Distinguishes Himself as a Divine Person from Himself as a Human Person
John 8:58 "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." John 17:5 "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."
Human Names are Applied to the Eternal Son, and Divine Names to the Man  Christ Jesus
Heb. 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Matt. 1:23 "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."

The Various Acts, Powers, and Attributes of the Two Natures are Ascribed  Without Distinction to the One Person, not Two
Luke 1:31-43 "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?"
Acts 20:28 "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood."
1 Cor. 2:8 "Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." Phil. 2:5-11 "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Rev. 5:11-14 "And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever."

Many Manifestations of our Lord's Two Natures appear Side by Side, yet  all are Ascribed to One Person, not Two
Matt. 8:24-26 "And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm."
Mark 11:1-6, 12-13 "And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go."

"And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet."
John 11:35, 38, 43-44 "Jesus wept."
"Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it."
"And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go."

Heb. 2:18 "For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted."

Note: It is wrong to divide completely His words and acts, and ascribe them to separate natures. For example, we must never say that His human nature died: It was the God-Man who died, or else the atonement would not have had infinite value. He was God when He died, and is Man on the throne of the third heaven today.

The Center of This One Indivisible Personality is in the Divine Nature
Heb. 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
1 Cor. 15:47 "The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven."
