INTELLECTUAL GIANTS-AGNOSTICS

INTELLECTUAL GIANTS-AGNOSTICS
"Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do." 1 Tim. 1:4

Those who have been through the 12 year school educational system and then ventured into another 4 year experience to recieve their collage degree have thoroughly been poisoned for (the) faith in the living God. This verse in Timothy states the end result of a man who deifies intelligence and therefore deifies his own capacity; this man says that the ultimate knowledge is the great thing. This ends though in agnosticism which is basically a confession of ignorance. I start to worship the ultimate knowledge and when I have worshipped the ultimate knowledge long enough I say I cannot find it. I am agnostic, I am ignorant, I went after the ultimate, and all I found was its hollow laugh of mocking as it evaded me through the mysterious door of the protoplasmic germ.
They consider their intelligence on a higher plane than those around. These "fables and endless genealogies" are generally thought to be rabbinical traditions, since the Ephesian church where Timothy was pastoring (1 Timothy 1:3) had been plagued from the start by Jewish opponents of Paul (Acts 19:8-9). However, Gentile converts were also numerous (Acts 19:10), and these had come from a background of pagan evolutionary philosophy, featuring the worship of the nature goddess Diana (Acts 19:35). Like other forms of evolutionism, Greek paganism was a nest of fables and a great chain of genealogical relationships extending back into eternity. All such compromises with either legalism or evolutionism, ancient or modern, are utterly bereft of spiritual edification.
My seminary professor who had a genius intellect told me to talk slowly to these 16 year graduates and do not use big words or you will lose them. There are many gods in this world and intellect is just one of them. Those that do (profess) salvation put the Living God in a box so they might understand Him or at least to get Him to conform to their understanding of this world. They treat areas of the Bible as myths and fables and not to be trusted. And by doing this they call Him a liar. You do not call the Despot of Jude 4 a liar. May the Living God awaken their minds to serve their spirit (Rom. 8:9).
