The Mergence of Deity and Humanity in One Person
vss. 12-16 "And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;"
13 "And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle."
14 "His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;"
15 "And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters."
16 "And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength."
Mergence is set forth in relation, first to the Church, then in relation to the Christian, and then as it centers in the Christ.

"And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;" "And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man,"
The Church is the first object of vision.
The Church is the first object of vision.
"And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;"
John sees seven golden candlesticks. These candlesticks are identified later as the seven churches (vs. 20). This would seem to indicate that Christ's relation to men in this age has its special spiritual relation as it concerns the Church.
"The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches."
Christ is then unveiled in the midst of the churches.

This certainly means that Christ has the central place here alone, so far as men are concerned. This is a fact whether men in the church recognize it or not. Where the fact is recognized, the realization is a church that experiences the light that shines unhindered upon it. Where it is not recognized, this church is in darkness because it has turned its back upon the Christ.

And Christ has many truths to teach each church so that they end up seeing Him just as He is which the nation did not while on earth.
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is." 1 John 3:2
"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." Rom. 8:29
Conformed to His image is a perfect Man. This is what lies ahead and all things are possible. Ready to rule and reign with the One we see as He is. Jude 24; Eph. 4:13; Matt. 5:48. THE BRIDE IS DRESSED IN WHITE LINEN. Bathed and finally washed.
"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy," Jude 24

"Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:" Eph. 4:13
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matt. 5:48
