The Proclamation of Salvation for the Saints vs.12-13
"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."
"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
The Persistence of the Saints Vs. 12
"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."
They
persist in following the commandments and professing their faith in Christ.
They do all of this in spite of the terrible persecution through which they
must pass under the Antichrist. This demonstrates that faith is as powerful as
ever.
The Promises of the Future
Urge Them Vs. 13
"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
After
the proclamation of all that the wicked must suffer, it is a small thing to
suffer a few years under Antichrist or even to die. In fact, it is better to
die. If they die, they die in the Lord. If they die, they rest from all their
pain. If they die, their works follow them and assure them of reward.
