 THE HOME OF THE CHURCH IS THE FATHER'S HOUSE

• At the Rapture the Church will be taken to the Father's House

John 14:1-3 "In my Father's house" (poluV polus pol-oos' - many) This is an immense thing. Old Testament saints, New Testament saints, angelic hosts-there. This is more than a house. It is also household, home.

• This "House" (oikia oikia oy-kee'-ah) is located in Heaven

2 Chron. 6:30 - "Heaven thy dwelling place."

Rev. 4:4; 13:6 A.R.V. 19:1 with 6-7 "And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold." "And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven." "And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God:" "And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigns. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready."

 

Within this "House" Christ is preparing a place for the Church. John 14:1-3 Cf. Heb. 11:13-16 "Country" i.e. Fatherland. Here He prepared a city. "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city."

• This Prepared Place is called our "City-Home."

Phil. 3:20 "Our citizenship is in heaven." - "Our city-home" - Moule.

• This Heavenly City will be the Church's Dwelling during the Millennial Kingdom

Cf. "Kingdom of the heavens" -- rule of the heavens

We shall reign with Christ "over" the earth

Cf. Rev. 5:10 (epi with genitive-government-so Green) "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." "And kai hast made poiew us hmaV unto our hmon God qeoV kings basileuV and kai priests iereuV: and kai we shall reign basileuw on epi the earth gh.

 

But in heaven is our Home. Distance no problem.

 

• This Heavenly Home will change its location at the close of the Millennial Kingdom. Many say it is above the earth while others think it is on the earth. Above during the Millennium and on the earth at the close. The location changes.

Rev. 21:1-3, 10 New City perhaps - 1500 mile cube "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." "And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,"

Rev. 21:24-25 Perhaps - 1500 mile rectangle above earth "And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there."

- or a pyramid 1500 miles high.

The precious material in it is just as described.

All this may symbolize spiritual blessings.
