THE SECOND ANGEL AND THE SECOND JUDGMENT

The Second Angel and the Second Trumpet   8:8-9

"And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;" "And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed."

 

The Language is the Same as in the First

The substance of the judgment is a great moun­tain burning. This is probably a meteoric mass, perhaps falling into the Mediterranean Sea, or any sea without designation.

The objects of the judgment are the ocean, life in the sea, and ships in the sea. Sea became to look like blood. From shock or pollution or both, a third part of the sea life died. One third of the ships were destroyed.

The purpose of this judgment is the same as above and also for three and four.
