BEAUTY AND GOD

Beauty

Prov. 11: 22 “As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.”

It is the lot in life for some women to have a beautiful appearance being a precious and glorious creation of God. But if her life is set in a character which lacks that quality of understanding and influence that God bestows on her, because of that beauty, she lives a life of extreme waste and one out of place, such as putting a ring in a hog’s nose. And if the woman possessing it lacks God's perspectives, her beauty becomes a peril to both herself and to all others attracted to and by her beauty.

BASEST OF MEN

Basest Of Men

Who God sets over men in Dan. 4:17. People who place hope in the elections of men or women who run for office need to understand the FACT that God sets them in office, no matter how good or bad they might appear. The best and there have been some great rulers in the past 6000 years is declared to be the basest of possibilities. God rules in the end and overrules now and in comparison to His wisdom, grace, and power, the best of these are considered base or low.

"This sentence is by the decree of the angelic watchers and the decision is a command of the holy ones, In order that the living may know that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, and bestows it on whom He wishes and sets over it the lowliest of men" Dan 4:17

In a sense, God gives a nation the kind of leader its people deserve. Now and again, in response to repentance and confession by at least some of its people, God provides a godly leader to lead his nation back to God.

BASEST  8215. Heb. shephal, (Chald.), shef-al'; from H8214; low:--basest. Corresp. to H8213:--abase, humble, put down, subdue.
Goes back to Samuel where they wanted a king like all the other nations. 1 Samuel 8:7.

BAPTISM THAT SAVES

Baptism that Saves

1 Pet. 3:21 “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”

Peter gives the context for this statement by taking the reader back to Gen. 6:1 to the account of Noah to the disobedience of the angels, where people were demon possessed and Noah preached righteousness to these people. Only eight people were spared in the “ark”. Those eight were saved "through" the water in the sense that they were saved from the deadly moral and spiritual pollution that had engulfed the world after the demonic invasion.

The waters lifted up their ark of safety, even as the same waters destroyed their old world and old lives. Thus both the flood, with its ark of safety, and baptism, with its emergence from the waters of "burial" are "like figures" of the wonderful reality of the death and resurrection of Christ, as well as the death to sin and the new life of the believer.

Baptism in and of itself would at most be only a bath for washing off the filth of the flesh, but, it becomes "the answer of [or, better, "appeal for"] a good conscience toward God" (see also Heb. 9:14) when experienced as a testimony of one's saving faith in the atoning death and justifying resurrection of the Lord Jesus secured forever by Christ's resurrection.

Genesis 6:1 “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them.”

THE ARK

THE ARK

450' long

75' wide

45' high

95,700 sq. ' w/ 3 decks

1,396,000 cubic’

Gross tonnage of 13,960

For never having rained up to this point, the building of the Ark took intelligence beyond the minds of our day. Adam was not a monkey that finally stood upright. He had intelligence far beyond men today. He learned a language right at the start to take on thoughts from God Himself, receive instruction, and perform a task (the meaningful naming of animals). And following him, Noah followed the plans of the Lord as he labored. This took constant conversation with the Architect of the Ark as well as the universe. To make that voyage through a storm that engulfed the whole earth took a vessel that only God could envision and have built. Again, modern science views of evolution state that these were low intelligence animals turned human. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Man is too busy denying that flood while they pump fossil fuels (man and animals suddenly covered up with deluge) daily into their gas tanks. That came from the first judgment of God and next by fire according to scripture.

This vessel was large enough to comfortably house all the animals He supernaturally brought to the door of the vessel. The only ones He couldn’t bring to the door was man who had freedom of his will (which like men today was enslaved to the thinking of Satan). Free by their own sorrowful definition and that mindset is still active today. May they figure it out before the door closes one more time and the fire begins.

ANTI JEW

Anti-Jew

All anti-Semitic prejudice is due to ignorance of the benevolent purpose of God for this nation.

Cf. Isa 49:5-6, 13, 15

“And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.”

“Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted”

“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee”

Rom. 11:26 “And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.”

And from what looks like a certain demise as they are surrounded on every side by hate motivated prejudice.

In the words of Samuel J. Andrews: As the covenant of God with the Jews was a national one, so must also Christ's acceptance or rejection be. From the beginning of their history, God had dealt with the people as a “corporate body.” Their blessings were national blessings, their punishments national punishments. All their institutions, ecclesiastical and civil, were so devised as to deepen the feeling of national unity--one high priest, one temple, one altar, one royal family, one central city. What was done by the heads of the nation was regarded as the act of all, and involving common responsibility. Only in this way could the purpose of God, in their election to be His peculiar people, be carried out. Hence, in this greatest and highest act, the acceptance or rejection of His Son, the act must be a “national one” – not singular as in the church where it is individual. Those who acted as their rightful representatives must do it in the name of the whole people. If those who sat in Moses' seat should discern and receive Him, the way for the further prosecution of His work was at once opened, and under His divine instruction the nation might be purified and made ready for the glorious Kingdom, so often sung by the psalmists and foretold by the prophets. But if, on the other hand, the nation acting through its lawfully constituted heads rejected him, this national crime must be followed by national punishment. Individuals might be saved amid the general overthrow, but the people, as such, failing to fulfill God's purpose in their election, must be scattered abroad, and a new people be gathered out of all nations.
It was under the conditions imposed by these great historic facts that the Lord began His ministry among the Jews. He came to a people in covenant with God; a people that God desired to save, and that must, as a people, accept or reject Him. All the details that are given us of that ministry by the Evangelists must, therefore, be viewed in the light of these facts.

JIHAD

JIHAD

noun ji·had \ji-'häd, chiefly British -'had\

Muslim sanctification method: a war fought by Muslims to defend or spread their beliefs
Full Definition of JIHAD
1:  a holy war waged on behalf of Islam as a religious duty; also: a "personal struggle" in devotion to Islam especially involving spiritual discipline to reach high value in the service for Allah. The closer they become to Allah determines the radical stance they possess.
2:  a personal crusade for a principle or belief

In the Bible - a Christian method of purification and sanctification to serve God the Father through the example of Jesus Christ. Our God is a Holy God and sanctification permeates His Book the Bible. His people were told to keep separate and that His method of holiness was shown throughout the entire OT & NT. The closer one "walks" with Christ determines how "radical" his stance becomes to others. Israel was to be the method of blessing to all peoples on the earth and shall be eventually because of His sanctifying and perfecting them through Great tribulation. See article perfect, perfection. Christ was the most "radical" in the eyes of the religious of His days on earth. So much so that His chosen people had Him crucified.
God's war is against the sin that caused the need of the death of His most beloved Son. He saw it coming in the earliest parts of the OT. The death was foreknown before the foundations of the earth. Men who want to deny the love of God point out all the death of the OT. That death was caused by the sins of human beings which was bringing about the need of Cross of the NT. Men don't learn very easily and the ones Who He wanted to learn from the beginning was His chosen nation who have yet to learn that their disobedience to His very first words caused His wounds at the Cross and finally they learn that fact. It has taken 6000 years.

2 Peter 2:12  But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, (Final Jihad spoken of in Rev. 20:7-9; Luke 19:27).

John 16:2  They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. (Islamic Jihad)

Zechariah 14:2-5  For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. (Islamic Jihad) Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

Psalm 2:1-12  Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? (Jihad) The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying, "Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us." He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, ...

Revelation 20:7-9  The Final Jihad. And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them,

Luke 19:27  But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.
